Marie Sydonie hails from Alsace, the smallest metropolitan town in France. With her first taste for 'designer clothes' at the tender age of three, Marie's beloved late grandmother decided that Marie would not be wearing the same clothes that all the other little girls were, and with the help of a seamstress across the street, started dressing the fashionista-in-the-making in unique little ensembles. When the other little girls and mothers in the neighbourhood began to fancy the special designs Marie was sporting, Marie's grandmother started receiving orders for the same dresses – and quickly became known as the 'village fashionista'.

It was this love for fashion instilled at such a young age that later blossomed into Marie's long career with clothing and style; from modelling all over Europe in her teenage years, to eventually establishing French-chic label of her own: Sydonie. With an instinct and feel for clothing that is stylish, modern, feminine and still practical, Marie wants to continue her grandmother's vision of not just 'keeping up with current trends', but also 'setting trends of your own'.

Eager to connect with business-chic and urban-professional city women, Marie hopes to create a brand that's accessible to women of all backgrounds and body types, so that all women can look good in the trends they love. Aiming to empower women to feel confident, even when daring new styles, the un petit je ne sais quoi'-factor behind Sydonie is as welcoming as it is individualistic, with each design finding its own personality with each woman.
